How to obtain and install the
ECats Scoring Program and the latest upgrade

To obtain the ECats program you can either email us and we will send you a CD or you can download it. The latest version of the Scoring Program is 10 but this is only needed if you wish to join our ECatsBridge Club, and is a simple upgrade not requiring a reinstall. to obtain this upgrade, simply right mouse click on one of the links below (one is for the simple .exe file, the other has it in a zip archive), and download it onto your computer. If you chose the zip version, then unzip it, and simply copy the file sims.exe into the same directory as you installed the original program in (normally c:\program files\sims). It will ask you if you want to overwrite the existing sims.exe and you can just say yes to that. Now you have the latest version. The only difference between this and any previous versions is that it accepts and uploads the date properly - nothing exciting! If you chose to download the EXE file directly, just save it straight into the directory where you instlaled the program, overwriting the existing version.

For the Simultaneous Pairs, you need Version 6.2.0 - To obtain this version of the Scoring Program (8.5M download) download sims.zip to a folder on your hard disc. Then Unzip it (if you haven't got a program that unzips, you can find WinZip on the front cover CD of most computer magazines, or can download an evaluation version from www.winzip.com). This will create about 12 files in the same folder as the one you downloaded the file into.

Now double click on the setup.exe that has been created and this will install the program for you. YOU WILL NEED this version for any Simultaneous Pairs running from July 2000.
